How to Create and Use a Google Review QR Code

A review QR code is simply a scannable route to the business’s review link. The code works best when it appears at a natural completion point and is paired with a clear, neutral invitation.

Get the official review link or QR code

Google Business Profile lets eligible businesses create and share a review link or QR code. Google’s current instructions say the QR-code option is available from a computer browser.

  1. Open the Google account that manages the Business Profile on a computer.
  2. Find the Business Profile and select Read reviews.
  3. Choose Get more reviews.
  4. Copy the review link or save the QR code.
  5. Test it on a phone that is not already in the setup flow.

Place the code where the service ends

The code needs context. Add a short instruction such as “Scan to share an honest Google review” and place it where a real customer naturally finishes the experience.

  • Printed review cards handed over after a completed job.
  • A counter or reception sign where customers check out.
  • Receipts, thank-you notes or completion folders.
  • A finished-work page that also offers the direct Google action.

Make the print usable

  • Keep strong contrast around the code.
  • Leave clear white space around all four sides.
  • Do not stretch, crop or place the code over a busy image.
  • Print it large enough for the expected scanning distance.
  • Test the final printed version under normal lighting.

Keep the request policy-aware

A QR code should invite honest feedback from genuine customers. Do not connect the scan to a reward, discount or free service, and do not display the code only to customers who say they are happy.

Card headline

How was your experience?

Card instruction

Scan to share an honest Google review.

Completion message

Thank you for choosing [Business]. If you would like to share feedback, scan the code or use this link: [link]

Track scans without calling them reviews

A scan shows that the QR route was opened. It does not prove that a customer submitted a review. Keep scan and review-link activity separate from public Google review-count growth.
