10 Google Review Request Templates for Service Businesses

These templates are short enough to use and neutral enough to invite honest feedback. Replace the brackets with real service details and keep the request in your normal brand voice.

Text and WhatsApp templates

Keep mobile requests direct. The customer should understand who is messaging, which service you mean and where the link goes.

1. Simple completed-service request

Hi [Name], thank you for choosing [Business] for your [service]. If you have a moment, please share an honest Google review about your experience: [link]

2. Finished-work page

Hi [Name], your [service/project] is complete. We put the details and finished result here: [link]. You can also leave an honest Google review from the page.

3. After a final walkthrough

Thanks for walking through the finished [project] with us today. If you would like to share feedback about the experience, here is our Google review link: [link]

4. Mobile service handover

Hi [Name], we have wrapped up your [service] at [property/vehicle]. Thank you for trusting [Business]. Honest feedback is welcome here: [link]

Email templates

Email allows a little more context, but the request should still be easy to scan and the action should be obvious.

5. Thank-you email

Subject: Thank you for choosing [Business] Hi [Name], Thank you for trusting us with your [service]. If you have a moment, we would appreciate an honest Google review about your experience. Leave a review: [link] Thank you, [Business]

6. Project completion email

Subject: Your [project] is complete Hi [Name], Your [project] is now complete. You can view the finished-work summary here: [link]. If you would like, the page also includes a direct path to leave an honest Google review. Regards, [Business]

Follow-up templates

Use one reminder when appropriate. Do not make the customer feel watched or mention that you tracked their page activity.

7. Gentle reminder

Hi [Name], just a quick follow-up on your recent [service]. If you would still like to share your experience, the review link is here: [link]. Thank you again.

8. Email follow-up

Subject: A quick follow-up from [Business] Hi [Name], Thank you again for choosing us for your [service]. If you have not had a chance to share feedback, you can leave an honest Google review here: [link]. Best, [Business]

Relationship and milestone templates

9. Recurring-service milestone

10. Issue resolved

Hi [Name], thank you for giving us the opportunity to address the concern with your [service]. If you choose to share feedback, please describe your honest overall experience here: [link]

What not to add

  • Do not ask specifically for five stars.
  • Do not offer a discount, gift or free service in exchange for a review.
  • Do not send the link only to customers who reported being happy.
  • Do not tell the customer which words or staff name must appear in the review.
